Into the Winds by Raymond A. Foss

Turning purposely
in the headwinds
the storms of history
awaiting for him

Going to Jerusalem
even while knowing
the future it held
the end of his days

Turning anyway
resolute in his decision
choosing to sacrifice
obedient to God’s call

The saving of humanity
in the measured steps
the choices of Christ
all of his life

Staying true
following the master
the plan of his life
written in God’s book

Humbly turning
yet by his choosing
staying on the path
the lamb to rise
in victory
